About

Philosophy of care

I strive to deliver timely, evidence-based care while maintaining a calm and empathetic presence. My role is to stabilize the acutely ill, guide patients through uncertainty and advocate for the equitable treatment of all who seek help.

Why I entered medicine

I entered medicine to make a tangible, immediate difference in people’s lives, and I chose emergency medicine because nowhere else is that impact more immediate or essential. Emergency medicine reminds me every day why I became a doctor: to meet people where they are and help them when they need it most.

Community involvement

I believe our work extends far beyond the hospital. I regularly volunteer with local harm reduction programs to provide naloxone training and education on opioid safety. My goal is to use medical toxicology not just to treat – but to empower and protect communities through prevention, education and advocacy.

Personal interests

I enjoy time with my family, my dogs and swimming. I have gone on multiple trips to the Caribbean for snorkeling and shark diving and like to think of myself as an amateur marine biologist.
