About

Philosophy of care

Emergency medicine allows me to help people who may be at the most vulnerable period in their lives. I can make an impact by treating them as I’d like my family treated, and by practicing evidence-based emergency medicine.

Why I entered medicine

I find it much more meaningful to practice medicine than any other profession I’ve explored. It's a privilege to serve others. Plus, I enjoy using the latest medical knowledge to help patients thrive.

Community involvement

I've always found it fulfilling to get involved in the community. Since medical school, I've been a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi honorary society, which engages with the community and encourages volunteerism. My prior workplaces, both civilian and military, also encouraged involvement in volunteer and community projects. I plan to continue helping educate youth and engaging in activities benefiting underserved communities.

Personal interests

Other than spending time with my wife and kids, I enjoy traveling, mountain biking and, occasionally, motorbikes and skydiving. I look forward to scuba diving when time allows.
