Get to know Joseph Oveh, MD, family medicine resident.

Career goal: Family medicine

“LVHN goes above and beyond to try to provide what is necessary to train its residents.”

What makes your Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) training program different from other programs across the country?

The Walter and Irene Baran Schuylkill Family Medicine Residency is uniquely placed along the Appalachian Mountains, which give you a very nice atmosphere. Also, this program is located less than two hours away from big cities such as New York and Philadelphia.

What has been the most extraordinary part of your training experience so far?

Working with the residents of the community has been amazing. Schuylkill County has a great and welcoming community.

What is one piece of advice you would share with someone as they select a training program?

My advice is to look at the people and the opportunities the program provides for you during residency.

What does it mean to be a resident at LVHN?

LVHN goes above and beyond to try to provide what is necessary to train its residents.
