Every day brings opportunities to learn, teach and grow. It’s a privilege to train in a place that feels both academically strong and personally fulfilling.
What are your career goals?
My goal is to become a compassionate nephrologist who combines strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach. I’m passionate about chronic kidney disease and transplantation, and I hope to be involved in academic medicine through teaching and research. I want to make a difference not only in individual patients’ lives but also in the broader kidney care community.
What makes your Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) training program different from others across the country?
LVHN truly stands out for its supportive environment and approachable faculty. As an international medical graduate, I immediately felt welcomed and valued here. The training is hands-on, the patient variety is excellent and the mentors genuinely care about our growth. It’s a program that pushes you to be your best while making sure you never feel alone in the process.
What do you like most about living in the Lehigh Valley?
The Lehigh Valley has quickly become home for me. I love how it combines comfort and opportunity, a peaceful community with beautiful scenery, yet close to major cities. It’s easy to maintain a good work-life balance here, and I really enjoy exploring local restaurants and parks on my days off.
What is one piece of advice you would share with someone as they select a training program?
Go where you feel supported. Look for a program that values mentorship and teamwork as much as medical knowledge. The right environment makes all the difference in how much you grow – both professionally and personally.
What does it mean to be a fellow at LVHN?
Being a fellow at LVHN means being part of a close-knit, collaborative team that truly cares about patients and about each other. Every day brings opportunities to learn, teach and grow. It’s a privilege to train in a place that feels both academically strong and personally fulfilling.
