No more waiting and wondering if you’ve been diagnosed with cancer or have a potential diagnosis. Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN)’s Same Day/Next Day clinicians are part of your experienced cancer team and work closely with the experts at Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute.
We are here to offer you guidance and support when you need it, as well as assist your referring physician and oncology team as they:
- Evaluate suspicious findings and expedite care
- Collect information about your cancer diagnosis and work-up completed to date
- Schedule additional testing based on National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines and instructions provided by the Cancer Institute’s disease specific teams, with oversight and care review by an oncologist
- Give you emotional support and help with transition of care, including an appointment with an oncologist
- Provide referrals to oncology specialists across Lehigh Valley Health Network and Jefferson Health
- Identify the need for additional services such as genetics or social work
- Fast-track physician appointments if your findings indicate you need urgent evaluation
- Help you arrange appointments with the proper specialists
