Sara Clipp, CRNP, a caregiver at Children’s ExpressCARE–Palmer Township, puts kids' minds at ease during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak with clinical expertise – and a little luck.
“COVID-19 sounds scary because we don’t know much about it,” Clipp says, “but we are listening to the experts and doing our part to stop the spread and, at the same time, keep our patients safe and healthy.”
For many, St. Patrick’s Day felt different this year as people practiced social distancing by avoiding restaurants, parades and celebrations. That didn’t stop Clipp and her friend Lucky the Leprechaun from sharing their own celebration on social media.
Wearing her Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital jacket with pride, Clipp posted a selfie with Lucky on Instagram. The caption reads: Even Lucky our Leprechaun is proud to mask. #luckytomask #proudtomask #stopthespread #lvhnproud.
Like Clipp, Lucky understands the importance of wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in a clinical setting to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Lucky for us, compassionate providers abound at LVHN and remain steadfast in their clinical expertise as we all learn to thrive in these unprecedented times.
