Inpatient Rehabilitation Rooms at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest Undergo Renovation

The renovations optimize patient safety and quality of care

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) continues to offer the region’s highest level of inpatient rehabilitation with recent renovations to four inpatient rehabilitation rooms at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Cedar Crest to increase patient safety and quality of care.

“Our patients and their families are truly at the heart of everything we do. The renovations to the inpatient rehabilitation rooms at LVH–Cedar Crest will ensure that we can provide patients with the highest level of care and the best recovery possible,” says Matthew Nelson, Administrator, Inpatient Rehabilitation, LVHN.

Renovations optimize safety and care

According to Nelson, the renovations help improve safety considerations for specific patients. “We wanted to make sure that we had the physical infrastructure in place to optimize safety for patients presenting with behavioral complications associated with certain conditions such as a brain injury,” says Nelson.

Renovations included full glass doors to increase visibility and remote monitoring devices in each room.
