LVPG Urology is the first in the region to offer Aquablation. It is safe and effective for those suffering from lower urinary tract symptoms and can be performed on prostates of any shape and size.

We know choosing a treatment option for BPH can be overwhelming, as it often forces you to compromise in some way. This could mean not responding well to medication or choosing a treatment that only provides limited relief, that may have a long recovery time, or that may even cause issues with sexual function. With Aquablation®, you can minimize this compromise.

Combining cystoscopy with ultrasound imaging, Aquablation® allows our surgeons to see the prostate in real time and precisely remove targeted prostate tissue.

How Aquablation® works

Aquablation® is performed by the AquaBeam Robotic System, cleared by the FDA in 2017. It is performed in the hospital. You are under anesthesia for the entire procedure, which typically takes less than an hour and involves an overnight stay. It is a respective procedure, which means that the prostate tissue causing your symptoms is surgically removed. No incision is made in your abdomen, as the prostate is reached through your urethra.

Aquablation® features and benefits:

  • Robotically controlled, heat-free water jet
  • Ultrasound imaging allows mapping of targeted tissue
  • Very low rate of irreversible complications – incontinence, ejaculatory dysfunction, erectile dysfunction
