Rock Steady Boxing at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Fitness is a science-based, non-contact boxing program specifically created for people with Parkinson’s disease. It helps Parkinson’s patients to move more easily and safely while improving their posture, gait, flexibility and resistance to injury.

Rock Steady Boxing, endorsed by Lehigh Valley Fleming Neuroscience Institute, is an effective training method that’s hugely beneficial for people in all stages of Parkinson’s, whether you’ve just been diagnosed or have lived with Parkinson’s symptoms for a long time.

For most Parkinson’s patients, increasing physical activity levels to a minimum of 2 1/2 hours weekly significantly slows the decline in quality of life. Trained professionals at LVHN Fitness can customize fitness programs based on your individual needs.

Rock Steady Boxing benefits

  • Improve confidence
  • Decrease the severity of your symptoms
  • Reduce your fear of falling
  • Allow you to perform daily activities more efficiently and with higher quality
  • Understand your physicality better and improve self-management

Rock Steady Boxing can help you perform activities others may take for granted, such as climbing stairs, entering a vehicle, or simply standing up and walking across the room. Regular training sessions can improve every area of your life.
