Anesthesiology Residency Benefits

The following program-specific benefits are offered to Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) diagnostic radiology residents in addition to the graduate medical education (GME)-wide salary and benefits.

• Reimbursement for meal expenses, including on-call meal support, is included in your base salary. Food will be provided at didactic activities.
• Residents traveling more than 15 miles for rotation assignments will be reimbursed at IRS rate. Tolls will be reimbursed, and parking benefits are the same as other hospital employees.
• Each resident will receive one lab coat and one fleece jacket. Scrubs will be provided and available at sterile environment locations.
• Sick time is paid using salary continuance. You’ll receive 160 annual hours of vacation and two additional personal days. Holidays will be equitably distributed.

Educational reimbursement

• $1,500 annual stipend for approved scholarly activity conferences when first author
• $1,000 annual stipend for approved committee activity or competitor in professional or scientific society meeting
• $1,000 annual stipend for approved educational and professional development expenses such as: 
• Medical textbooks and board preparation materials
• Educational software, subscriptions, and clinical reference tools
• Online learning platforms and question banks
• Electronic devices and accessories when reasonably required for educational and training purposes, consistent with employer policy
• Attendance at conferences that are relevant to program or specialty and not otherwise covered (including registration, travel, lodging, food, and other reasonable expenses)
• Association memberships
• Second attempt USMLE or COMLEX fees
• Specialty Board Examination fees
