Vasectomy surgery offers more effective pregnancy protection than every other available birth control option – besides abstinence. While vasectomy is considered a minor surgical procedure, you may have many questions. We’ll answer every one.
At LVHN, we’ve streamlined the care process so you’re quickly seen and evaluated by an experienced provider. Our surgeons use the latest and least-invasive surgical techniques to maximize your results while minimizing your recovery.
What is a vasectomy?
During a vasectomy, a surgeon uses tiny incisions or heat to disconnect the vas deferens (two tubes that carry sperm to semen). This minor surgery permanently stops sperm from getting to semen, thus preventing conception during sexual intercourse.
While a vasectomy does not stop semen production, the semen will no longer contain sperm.
