There’s comfort in having a family physician who knows your health history. LVHN Virtual Family Medicine offers that comfort along with the convenience of being able to see your family physician or clinician virtually whenever possible by having a video visit through your MyLVHN account. A hybrid approach to primary care
LVHN Virtual Family Medicine is ideal for busy individuals who find themselves with limited time for doctor appointments. Clinicians provide most care virtually, with in-person visits when necessary.
As a patient of LVHN Virtual Family Medicine, you will have a consistent family medicine physician. This type of care does require that you are in Pennsylvania when having a virtual appointment, and is not an ideal fit for people who need dressings changed or who need prescribed controlled substances, such as narcotics or certain anxiety and ADHD medications. It is a perfect fit for those who want to take care of their health but can't always get to a doctor's office.
Virtual service offerings
We know that life is busy. That’s why LVHN Virtual Family Medicine offers a virtual option whenever possible. LVHN Virtual Family Medicine Services offered virtually include:
- Primary care with chronic disease management such as diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), etc.
- Routine follow-ups (if you have home equipment such as a blood pressure cuff)
- Anxiety and depression management
- Ill visits
- Transition of care from hospital to home
- Annual Medicare wellness visits (does not include first “Welcome to Medicare” visit).
In-person service offerings
LVHN Virtual Family Medicine may require some in-person visits. Services that must be completed in-person include:
- Physicals requiring paperwork (sports or school-related)
- Pediatric well-child visits (all ages)
- Annual wellness visits
- Vaccines
- Women’s health (Pap test, GYN)
- EKG
- Procedures
- Exams that require paperwork to be completed (FMLA, disability, etc.)
