Safely dispose of unused or unwanted medications during a drug take back event

Expired or unused medications in your home have the potential to be abused, lead to accidental poisoning, or sold illegally on the street. To prevent unused medications from falling into the wrong hands, you should properly and safely discard them at authorized collection sites like drug take back events, secure drop boxes, law enforcement facilities and pharmacies.

Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–17th Street is hosting a drug take back event, where unwanted medications will be collected and safely disposed of. Needles, lancets and other sharp objects will not be accepted.
