With the opening of Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG) Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, 26 Station Circle in Hazle Township, patients in the greater Hazleton area with injuries or conditions affecting joints, tendons, ligaments, bones or muscles have access to more leading-edge specialty and subspecialty orthopedic care.

LVPG Orthopedics and Sports Medicine–Station Circle is the first location to integrate LVPG and Coordinated Health musculoskeletal doctors and clinicians in one multispecialty facility.

“With the integration, we’ve expanded the level of access available to patients in Hazleton and surrounding communities for orthopedic services,” says Jennifer Roeder, Administrator, with Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Physiatry and Spine at LVPG.

Increased access to specialists and subspecialists

With one-stop convenience, patients can access orthopedics, sports medicine, physiatry, chiropractic medicine and podiatry specialists as well as hand, foot and ankle subspecialists.

“The integration ensures that patients see the right doctor at the right time for their orthopedic condition,” Roeder says.

Patients can access more highly skilled orthopedic specialists and subspecialists in the Lehigh Valley who are experts in performing the full gamut of orthopedic procedures, including:

  • ACL reconstruction
  • Hip, knee, ankle and shoulder (total and reverse) replacements
  • Hip arthroscopy
  • Cervical disk replacement
  • Microdiskectomies
  • Workers’ compensation injury treatment
  • Physical, occupational/hand and industrial therapy

The specialist integration at LVPG Orthopedics and Sports Medicine–Station Circle has allowed the orthopedic surgery group to fully incorporate Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN)'s Epic electronic medical record system to leverage existing workflows and referral pathways.

To streamline patient care and communication, “our orthopedic patient support team is on-site at 26 Station Circle to handle scheduling requests specific to the musculoskeletal needs of the Hazleton market,” Roeder says.
