Nurse Navigators

Our nurse navigators provide support and care coordination to ease the burden of a cancer diagnosis. We provide helpful information, which may include explaining how a cancer diagnosis affects your health, and which cancer treatments may be right for you.

A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, leaving you feeling as if your health and life are out of control. At Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute, our nurse navigators help you get back on solid footing.

All of our nurse navigators hold specialty certifications in meeting the unique needs of cancer patients. We help ease your fears and coordinate the many services you need, including cancer treatments and support, so you can focus on your well-being.

Our nurse navigators work with you one-on-one, providing assistance and support any time you need it. Our team includes bilingual Spanish nurse navigators who help many people receive the support they need in their preferred language.

If you are a woman with abnormal mammogram results, you receive immediate support from our dedicated breast health nurse navigators. We explain the next steps in your care and make necessary appointments right on the spot.

You may meet your nurse navigator during a visit to one of our multidisciplinary cancer clinics. After receiving a cancer diagnosis, this clinic allows you to meet with cancer doctors (oncologists), surgeons and other specialists in one visit. Our nurse navigators stay in touch with you by phone and in person throughout your cancer care journey.

We keep supporting you while you are receiving cancer treatment. Our nurse navigators participate in tumor boards where large teams of cancer specialists come together to plan every step of your care. You can trust our nurse navigators to share your preferences during tumor board meetings so you receive the care that’s best for your unique circumstances.
