About
Philosophy of care
To me it’s simple: All my patients should be healthy and happy. That goes to the heart of why I chose to be in the medical profession to begin with. I treat everyone the same, and feel that everyone should be as healthy as possible. That is always my primary goal. My specific approach to each patient is guided by individual needs. For example, if I think a patient may have trouble understanding a lab result or there is a lot to discuss, I may call that person and provide an update personally. Whatever the need is, I try to meet it.
Why I entered medicine
Since childhood I’ve been passionate about the medical field. A lot of my family in India was involved with medicine, and I grew up with it. I could see what medicine was like from family, friends and our family physician, and I decided to become part of it at an early age.
Community involvement
My community involvement centers on my patients. Keeping them healthy serves the communities, groups and families they come from.
Personal interests
I actually like to read medical literature. Medical school instilled a habit of studying, and I try to keep updated on everything I can. Beyond that, I spend time with my family and enjoy watching movies such as comedies to relax. I also like cooking and flower gardening.
