Jefferson Lehigh Valley Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship Curriculum

Fellows will receive training in the following areas:

  • Complex hand and upper extremity trauma
  • Peripheral nerve surgery, including brachial plexus and targeted muscle reinnervation
  • Microvascular surgery, including free tissue transfer
  • Congenital hand surgery
  • Arthritis, wrist disorders and reconstructive surgery
  • Advanced techniques in arthroscopy, tendon transfers and nerve decompressions

Specifics: 

  • One call day a week and one weekend a month
  • Work closely with plastics residents and orthopedic physician assistants
  • Orthopedic residency application in the works and will work closely with these residents as well
  • Monthly journal club
  • Weekly hand didactics
