Psychiatry Residency Research Opportunities

Our department has a rich tradition of research and scholarly work to advance the discipline of psychiatry. All residents are required to engage in scholarly activity. These projects take on many forms, including clinical research, systematic literature reviews, surveys, qualitative research and autoethnography. PGY-1 residents are expected to give two formal case presentations. PGY-2 residents are expected to do quality improvement or research that they will be required to present at department grand rounds. They will also be encouraged to submit them for presentation at local and national academic conferences.
