Psychiatry Residency Benefits

The following program-specific benefits are offered to Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) psychiatry residents in addition to the graduate medical education (GME)-wide salary and benefits.

• Four weeks’ vacation
  • Up to five additional days of paid time off (PTO) per academic year to attend conferences if you are accepted to present.
  •  Two Personal Days per academic year
  • All PGY-3 and PGY-4 residents will be given up to five additional PTO days for interviewing for fellowship or future employment to be used in PGY-3 or PGY-4 or split among both years.
• $1,000 toward approved continuing education funds per year
• • $1500 annual stipend for approved scholarly activity conference when first author. Per AY
  • $1000 annual stipend for approved committee activity or competitor in professional or scientific society meeting per AY
• Paid Step 3 COMLEX/USMLE
• Paid initial ALS/BLS certification
• Free membership to fitness centers
