Pediatric oncologists
These doctors diagnose and treat children with cancer. They will work closely with your family to determine the best treatment option for your child’s specific condition.
Jacob Troutman, DO

What are your hobbies and favorite things to do?
I like to garden, golf, canoe and play sports. I also like watching sports games, especially when the Philadelphia Eagles are playing. I’ve also been a volunteer at a pediatric cancer camp since 2003, and my work there inspired me to become a pediatric oncologist.
Daniel Zinn, MD
What is your role in the clinic?
As a physician, I will help you understand your child’s diagnosis, figure out what treatment will help them become healthy again and answer questions about your child’s health. I will also help your whole family understand your child’s condition and how to support them throughout their journey.

What are your hobbies and favorite things to do?
I love spending time with my incredible wife, playing with my dog, fly fishing, cooking, hiking and talking with old friends. I also am nationally ranked in Settlers of Catan, which is a multiplayer board game.
What are some fun facts about you?
When I was in high school, I used to be a clown. That must be why I’m funnier than Dr. Troutman!
Physician Assistant
This clinician evaluates and treats children and performs procedures. She will work closely with our pediatric oncologists to provide collaborative and comprehensive care for your child..

What do you want your patients and their families to know about the clinic?
We want you and your child to see our clinic as a place where you can feel safe and supported. We hope you leave our clinic knowing that you have an army of clinicians, nurses, social workers, child-life specialists and support staff by your side through the trials and tribulations of your child’s treatment.

What are your hobbies and favorite things to do?
I enjoy doing spin classes at a local cycling studio, hiking, camping, swimming and spending time with my two dogs. I also like running half marathons, and I most recently ran one at midnight in Zion National Park!
Pediatric oncology nurses
These clinicians will prepare your child for treatment, administer their chemotherapy and help educate your family on your child’s diagnosis and care plan.
Emily
What is your role in the clinic?
I am the nurse manager of the clinic. I am responsible for clinic operations and nursing care, but you may also see me out and about helping other staff members with patient care.

What are your hobbies and favorite things to do?
I like to travel, spend time with my family and take pictures. Disney World and the beach are my favorite places to visit.
Michele
What is your role in the clinic?
I am a sedation nurse for procedures. I will provide your family with support during any procedures your child needs, like lumbar punctures and bone marrow biopsies.

I like to play softball, football and volleyball. I also like taking trips to the mountains and the beach.

What is your role in the clinic?
I work alongside our doctors to give your child their medications, administer their infusions and draw their labs. I also serve as an advocate for your family.

I love camping, reading and doing fun things with my kids, family and friends.

My nickname in the clinic is “Winky” because I tend to wink a lot!
Margaret
What is your role in the clinic?
I have the privilege of supporting your child and family as you navigate this scary and uncertain time. I administer chemotherapy, help explain medical procedures and medications, and answer any questions you have.

What are your hobbies and favorite things to do?
My absolute favorite thing to do is travel. I've been to many places, but my two favorite cities are Paris, France and Bethlehem, Pa. I also love a good Netflix binge, so if you have any suggestions for shows, let me know!

Clinic is fun! We have crafts and games, and sometimes we play friendly pranks on our doctors.
Jessica
What do you want your patients and their families to know about you?
I love working in the clinic and I’m honored to help your family navigate your journey through such a difficult time.

What are your hobbies and favorite things to do?
I love reading, watching mystery shows and traveling to the beach and the Caribbean. I like to watch my son play baseball, too. I spend a lot of time at fields and training centers with him.
Pediatric oncology social worker
This person will provide your child and family members with support, education, counseling and referrals to community resources. She will also help your family manage the day-to-day challenges of your child’s cancer diagnosis and its treatments.
Sloane
What is your role in the clinic?
My job is to make this difficult journey as comfortable as possible for your family. I will provide support, connect you with resources, listen to your concerns and help troubleshoot any problems along the way. I want to make our clinic a safe space for your child where they can feel comfortable, develop trust with their care team, ask questions, talk through their worries and have some fun.

My favorite color is mostly blue, but sometimes it’s pink.
What are your hobbies and favorite things to do?
I love music and going to concerts, traveling to tropical places and spending time with my family and friends. I also love TikTok!
What do you want your patients and their families to know about the clinic?
I want you and your child to know that there are no silly questions, it’s never a bad time to ask for help and it’s OK to not be OK. This is a tough journey, but I hope you and your child always remember that we are in this together.
Registrar
This person coordinates all aspects of patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. She is often the first face you see when you come into the clinic.

What is your role in the clinic?
My number one role (that I take great pride in and love most of all) is welcoming you and your child when you first arrive at the clinic. We are like a family, and we are here to share your happiest (and sometimes sad) moments. I appreciate and respect the bond that we share with you and your family.

Two of my hobbies are reading and crafting. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family.
What are some fun facts about you?
I am obsessed with my cat named Garfield, I like to make people laugh and I love giving kids prizes!
Technical partner
This person takes your child’s vital signs, height and weight at the beginning of their appointments. He also provides other supportive services and helps at the front desk.
Nicholas
What do you want patients and their families to know about you?
I am one of the first faces you will see when you come to our clinic. I try to make your child’s visit as fun as possible and I like to find jokes that will make them laugh.

I don’t really have a favorite color, but I tend to wear a lot of blue!
What are your hobbies and favorite things to do?
I like being outside either riding my bike or hiking on the many trails in the Lehigh Valley.
Insurance coordinator
This person works with your insurance provider to get approval for your child’s medications and procedures. She will also counsel your family on your covered services and out-of-pocket costs.
