“This recognition is a testament to our colleagues’ dedication and tireless commitment to providing safe, high-quality care every single day,” says Bob Begliomini, PharmD, President, Jefferson Health–Lehigh Valley Region. “This achievement was earned through hard work, compassion and expertise, and I could not be prouder of all we have achieved.”
For this year’s rankings, 1,220 hospitals were segmented into seven groups. Each group contained hospitals with similar traits. LVH–Dickson City and LVH–Hecktown Oaks are top performers in the community hospitals group. LVH–Carbon is a top performer in the small community hospitals group.
The rankings measure six areas: safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient centeredness and variation in care. This includes measures from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Healthcare Safety Network.
“We extend our sincere congratulations to this year’s top-performing hospitals recognized in the Vizient Quality and Accountability Study,” says David Levine, Chief Medical Officer, Vizient. “These organizations have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Their performance reflects the highest standards in clinical quality and operational excellence, and we are proud to honor their achievements.”
The Vizient Quality and Accountability Study allows hospitals to gauge their performance against their peers and helps to identify processes and structures associated with quality and safety. Data for this recognition was gathered from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
Hospitals ranked by Vizient were recognized during the Vizient Connections Summit in Las Vegas on Sept. 16.
