It was of great comfort that the hospital was only 15 minutes from our home. The close proximity and ease of access to treatment were particularly valuable to avoid the stress of lengthy travel,” says Karin, who is now cancer-free.

As residents of the Lehigh Valley for 45 of their 47-year marriage, Tom and Karin Hall are well aware of all the wonderful resources available throughout the region. But it wasn’t until a few years ago, when Karin was diagnosed with breast cancer, that they realized just how valuable having advanced health care in their own backyard was.

They especially appreciated the privacy that was available to Karin while she was receiving her chemotherapy treatments in the Infusion Center. To show their thanks and appreciation for the care Karin received, they made a generous contribution to Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute, and one of the very infusion bays where Karin received her treatment was named in recognition of their donation.
