Register today for both in-person and virtual classes. Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Cedar Crest and LVH–Muhlenberg are baby friendly, providing optimal care for mothers and babies, including support for breastfeeding and early bonding.

Breastfeeding Baby Class – Part I

Join our live class presented by our team of board-certified lactation consultants to prepare for breastfeeding your baby. Part I must be completed in order to attend Part II.

Preparing for Labor and Childbirth Practice Session

This practice session is designed for families who have completed the virtual Preparing for Labor and Childbirth class.

During this in-person session, we will practice breathing techniques, comfort positions and use of a birthing ball to prepare for labor discomfort and childbirth.

Dress in comfortable clothes. Bring a mat or large towel/blanket for floor activity. Birthing balls are available for your convenience.

This practice session will be offered at the Parent & Family Education classroom, 1243 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Suite 303, Allentown. We are located in the professional park located across the street from LVH–Cedar Crest.

Boot Camp for Dads

This unique father-to-father workshop helps first-time expectant fathers get ready, in a supportive environment, for the challenges ahead. Fathers-to-be who attend the workshop leave feeling more confident and prepared for the exciting journey ahead, armed with inspiration, knowledge and skills focused on their role as the father, caregiver and supporter of both mom and baby.

  1. Dad’s role at the hospital
  2. Holding, burping, changing and swaddling
  3. Soothing a crying baby
  4. Bonding and forming a new family
  5. Supporting mom physically, emotionally and more
  6. Breastfeeding basics

Virtual BuMP Yoga

Designed for the expectant or new mother, pre- and postnatal yoga classes offer you a chance to clear your mind from your daily routine and a stress-relieving outlet to bond with the baby in your belly or your newborn. The classes will focus primarily on the physical, mental and emotional benefits that come from the practice of yoga. Babies up to 6 months welcome!
