About
Philosophy of care
As a skull base and complex spine neurosurgeon, I believe in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care through collaboration and clear communication. My approach is rooted in partnership – working closely with you to understand your unique needs, concerns and goals. Fluent in five languages, I strive to ensure every patient feels heard and fully informed. I am committed to multidisciplinary care, coordinating seamlessly with other clinicians to create comprehensive, tailored treatment plans. Whether addressing intricate skull base pathologies or complex spinal conditions, my priority is to provide compassionate, leading-edge care with precision and expertise. Together, we navigate the journey toward healing with trust, transparency and the highest standard of excellence.
Why I entered medicine
I was drawn to medicine by a deep fascination with neuroanatomy – the elegance of the nervous system’s structure and function captivated me from the beginning. But beyond the science, it was the resilience and courage of my patients that truly inspired me. Their stories of perseverance reinforced my desire to merge my love of neurosurgery with meaningful patient care, using precision and compassion to restore health and hope. Every day, I am grateful for the privilege of helping individuals navigate their most challenging moments, combining technical skill with unwavering dedication to their well-being.
Community involvement
Beyond the operating room, I am deeply committed to serving my community through education, outreach and advocacy. Whether mentoring aspiring medical students or conducting outreach visiting other local health practitioners in the areas I serve, I believe in giving back to the communities that have entrusted me with their health. By bridging gaps in health care accessibility, I strive to empower patients and families with knowledge and resources, ensuring that exceptional care extends beyond the walls of the hospital.
Personal interests
Running and rock climbing fuel my love for challenge and perseverance – qualities that also drive my neurosurgical practice. Travel inspires me, offering fresh perspectives and a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures and histories. And with a passion for medical illustration, I enjoy merging art and science to visually communicate the intricacies of neuroanatomy. These pursuits not only recharge me, but also remind me of the resilience, precision and curiosity that shape both my profession and my life.
