About

Philosophy of care

I am grateful to be part of a team committed to helping patients support and improve their health – personally, and in the context of family and community. We believe in the power of healing relationships rooted in cultural humility, trust, mutual respect and appreciation. We try to include all dimensions of the human person in our care – physicality, thoughts, feelings, social and spiritual relationships. Sometimes it's about curing or coping, but it is always about caring.

Why I entered medicine

For me medicine was a “calling” to serve others by accompanying them through sickness and health, and doing so with love and excellence.

Community involvement

I have worked with the Street Medicine Program and have been a supporter of the United Way, Communities in Schools and the Community Health Needs Assessment process.

Personal interests

I really enjoy meeting new people and learning from them. I also like bicycling, kayaking, baseball, researching ancestry and time with my family.
