About

Philosophy of care

My goal as a head and neck surgeon is to provide each patient the information needed for them to make a well-educated decision regarding their care. I like to learn each patient's career or trade, and use analogies that incorporate what they do to help them understand their disease and its treatment.

Why I entered medicine

My interest in medicine began as a child, hearing stories of my grandfather (a general practitioner in Philadelphia) making house calls and accepting non-traditional payments (chickens, goats, etc.) in lieu of money. As a medical student, I was fascinated by the complex anatomy of the head and neck, leading me to otolaryngology surgery. I found caring for patients with cancer to be the most rewarding, and helping them has become my passion.

Community involvement

As a Bucks County native, I am excited to return to the region I call home and participate in state professional organizations such as the Pennsylvania Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Personal interests

I have a German Shepherd named Hemingway, and we enjoy hiking and playing at the dog park. I am an avid fly-fisherman, and like to do essentially anything that gets me outside. I believe a strong body is needed to support a strong mind, and I lift weights or exercise every day.
