  • Ratings & Comments from Patients

To ensure our ratings come only from verified patients, we work with Press Ganey, a third-party organization. Press Ganey sends patient satisfaction surveys on LVHN’s behalf following an office visit or procedure. They ask patients about their impression of the health care provider and the doctor’s or advanced practice clinician’s communication skills. Read more about our survey.

Since being diagnosed with heart failure in February of this year and working with the cardiology group at LVHN, I feel safe, cared for and genuinely cared about. From the receptionists you first see when you enter 1250 to the folks across the hall where the tests are taken to the administrative group in the office to the nurses and, of course, to my primary cardiologist, Dr. Freudenberger and all the other professionals who I have seen or talked to in this journey, NOT ONCE have I feel neglected, unimportant or ignored. They are simply the best and represent LVHN and our community in the best possible light. I'm so lucky to have them all...

  • Philosophy of Care

I care for my patients’ physical and emotional needs. As a cardiologist, I sometimes care for patients for 10 to 15 years. I get close to them, and they become part of my family. When I meet new patients, I like to learn what kind of person they are. I like to laugh with them and encourage them to share personal stories. It helps them relax and breaks down barriers that can prevent me from providing the best care.

  • Why I Entered Medicine

My grandfather, Rudolph, was a physician. In 1938, he fled Nazi Germany and came to New York City, where he cared for the immigrant population in Washington Heights. He passed away before I was born, but his legend lived on. He is my inspiration.

  • Personal Interests

In my free time, I enjoy being at home with my family. We like to watch movies together. I also enjoy reading because I’m on a constant quest for knowledge. I am currently attending graduate school where I’m learning about management and financial responsibility. We’re constantly investing in technology at LVHN, and I want to have the education to help our health network make the wisest investments.
