Located at the Children’s Specialty Center, this dedicated space for children offers a caring, kid-friendly environment where our specialty-trained team treats children who are receiving cancer care. We also treat children with blood disorders including:

  • Anemia and sickle cell disease
  • Immunodeficiency disorders like HIV/AIDS
  • Iron disorders like hemochromatosis
  • Juvenile arthritis
  • Crohn’s disease and inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS)

We treat cancers and other blood conditions by offering infusions of:

  • Biologic medications
  • Chemotherapy drugs
  • Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs)
  • Iron or drugs that remove excess iron
  • Immunoglobulins (antibodies that support the immune system)
  • Immunosuppressants
  • Systemic steroids

The Children’s Cancer and Multipurpose Infusion Center is designed for kids, teens and young adults to receive infusion therapy comfortably. It features:

  • Four infusion bays, each with a gaming system-equipped TV to help pass the time and ease treatment anxiety
  • A central play area for kids
  • Two negative pressure/isolation infusion rooms for children who have a weakened immune system or can’t be exposed to an open infusion bay environment
  • Four exam rooms
  • A room where procedures like lumbar punctures can be performed for the patient’s and parents’ convenience
  • A dedicated family resource room offering storage lockers, educational materials and computers
  • A teen game room with an infusion chair and a gaming system geared toward teens or young adults
  • A painted column and lighting installation – Tree of Life – created by the nonprofit organization Splashes of Hope
