Philosophy of care

I treat every patient the way I would want my own family treated. That starts with taking time to listen, and then making sure you understand exactly what is going on: what the problem is, why it's causing your symptoms, and what every option looks like, both surgical and nonsurgical. We'll go through the pros and cons of each together, so our decision is one you feel confident about. I want every patient to leave my office feeling heard, informed, and cared for.

Why I entered medicine

I didn't always know I wanted to be a doctor. That changed during a summer internship in Scranton, where I shadowed a different physician every week. I was drawn to the problem-solving, the daily complex challenges that keep you thinking. But what stayed with me most was watching a patient walk in the door for the first time and, by the end of their care, leave better than when they arrived. That is what medicine is about, and it's what I get to do every day.

Community involvement

I take pride in telling people I'm from Northeastern Pennsylvania. My wife and I were born and raised here. As long as I can remember, I heard the same thing: "If you want the best medical care, you have to go to Philadelphia or New York." That lit a fire in me. I spent the last 16 years in school and training, from Philadelphia to New Jersey, Connecticut, and more, so I could bring that level of care home. Today my wife and I are both practicing medicine in NEPA. I want every patient who walks through my door to receive the best care I know how to give, and to feel like we've been neighbors forever, because we have.

Personal interests

Outside the operating room, my favorite place to be is with my wife, family and friends. I'm also a lifelong sports fan. I'm devoted to the Kansas City Chiefs, and I've cheered for Notre Dame football since childhood; the Irish fight song was the first song I learned. I also root for the 76ers, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the UConn Huskies. I'm an avid collector of sports trading cards and memorabilia, and whenever I get the chance, I'm out trying to play golf on as many courses as I can.
