About
Philosophy of care
My approach to pediatric surgery boils down to a simple truth: when you care for a child, you care for the whole family. I see it as my primary role to combine warm, honest communication with technical expertise so patients and their families feel heard, supported, and fully informed. Grounded in a deep respect for patients, my goal is to treat every child with the same empathy, vigilance, and dedication I would expect for my own kids.
Why I entered medicine
I was drawn to medicine through a love of science and a strong desire to care for others. While I originally planned to enter primary care, my background as a collegiate athlete ultimately led me to surgery, where I found the ideal blend of high-level teamwork, mental problem-solving, and hands-on skill. I specialized in pediatric surgery for the privilege of taking care of children and their families, as well as the broad, versatile scope of practice that allows me to make a lasting impact early in a patient's life.
Community involvement
As a newcomer to the area, I look forward to putting down roots and becoming actively involved in the local community – particularly through my children's schools and local programs as they grow.
Personal interests
I love quality time with my family and friends. I also enjoy staying active on the hockey rink and on the golf course.
