About

Philosophy of care

My philosophy in treating patients is not only evaluating the signs and symptoms of a disease, but also looking at the person as a whole and connecting with them - for this is an integral part of the healing process.

Why I entered medicine

I was brought up in the environment where the medical profession is considered most noble. I feel lucky to have enjoyed the company of doctors in my neighborhood. I was very impressed by their ethics and professionalism. They served not only as a role model for me but also guided me toward achieving my goals.

Community involvement

I lead an interfaith dialogue for the Muslim Association of the Lehigh Valley at the Islamic Center in Whitehall, Pa.

Personal interests

I have three children who keep me busy with their sports and activities. I also love American football and loved the Colts when I was in Indianapolis, the Bills when I was in Buffalo and now the Eagles here.
