All the segments of this involved community are coming together in a free program, sponsored by the Pancreatic Cancer Hope Foundation, the Fightin’ Foran’s Foundation and the Cancer Institute. They will be joined by Cancer Institute clinicians, pancreatic cancer survivors and caregivers in a free night of education and camaraderie. The event is open to the public.
“Through collaboration, compassion and clinical research, we are making significant strides in advancing treatment for pancreatic cancer, transforming hope into tangible progress,” says Maged Khalil, MD, Associate Director of Research, Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute, and a speaker on Nov. 11. “We hope this event will contribute to a greater public understanding of pancreatic cancer, its symptoms and the importance of early detection. It will also improve access to resources and information that empower patients and families to make informed decisions about care and treatment options.”
