About
Philosophy of care
As your surgeon I provide a diagnosis using the latest medical evidence and explain the problem in nontechnical language. I know it can be overwhelming when doctors rush through treatment options and only speak in medical terms. I prefer working hand--in-hand with you to customize a treatment plan based on what you may have tried before and your specific goals. I want you to feel confident you can make an educated choice on the best next step. Whether it is an acute injury or a chronic problem, I know you have concerns about how you can get back to your daily life. I will answer your questions about risks and expectations for recovery and be there with you every step of the way.
Why I entered medicine
I wanted to be a doctor ever since I could remember. I fell in love with orthopedics in college because I saw the impact education and intervention has on improving quality of life. Hand surgery appealed to me because there is a lot of variety and intricacy. Because having a hand ailment can affect people's livelihood, hobbies and activities of daily living, I feel like I can make a difference.
Personal interests
My family and I moved back to northeast Pennsylvania to be closer to extended family. I enjoy time with my young family and outdoor summertime activities. I love to read, especially crime novels, in my spare time.
