Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is now offering COVID-19 remdesivir intravenous therapy exclusively at a brand-new infusion site located at 1255 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Suite 2200. Remdesivir is an antiviral medication that helps decrease the severity of COVID-19 infection. It is most often used in symptomatic high-risk patients who are unable to take oral Paxlovid.

“We are so excited to be able to provide a place for our most vulnerable outpatient COVID-19 patients to receive remdesivir treatment. This space will ensure they are treated in a safe environment so they can focus on what’s important, recovering,” says Amy Slenker, Chief, Infectious Diseases, LVPG.

The treatment center will greatly expand LVHN’s ability to give remdesivir to those who need it the most. If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are at risk for progression to severe infection, speak with your primary care doctor or clinician to ask about whether you would benefit from a treatment like remdesivir.
