About

Philosophy of care

I find great satisfaction helping you get back to the activities you enjoy while also helping improve your overall quality of life. It is my privilege to be part of that process. I always like hearing how patients are being more and more active throughout their years and refusing to slow down.

Why I entered medicine

I became interested in medicine as a high school student as it blended my interests in science and technology. I knew that no two days would be the same in a life of medicine, and date, that has remained true. In medical school, I saw how orthopedics predominantly focuses on improving a patient’s quality of life and the outcomes are very rewarding. I knew at that moment, I wanted to pursue orthopedics. Pursuing sports medicine was a continuation of that as I enjoyed working with very motivated and highly functional athletes of all ages to return to the activities they enjoy. In the field of sports medicine, I enjoy arthroscopy and other minimally invasive techniques as they are constantly changing and improving.

Community involvement

I have had the unique opportunity to work with athletes and athletic programs of every caliber. Previously, I have served as the team physician for area high schools, the University of Pittsburgh Panthers and the Duquesne University Dukes. In addition, I have provided medical coverage for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as the NCAA’s Big Ten and ACC tournaments.

Personal interests

In my free time, I like to travel and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and biking. I’m also a food enthusiast and like to try new cuisines and restaurants.
