Philosophy of care

My goal is for patients to feel comfortable, informed and empowered throughout every stage of their care. I create a welcoming, compassionate and inclusive environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their questions, concerns and priorities. I respect your goals and wishes while providing evidence-based medical guidance, education and support. My role is to help you understand your options and guide you through your care so we can make decisions aligned with what matters most to you.

Why I entered medicine

Medicine combines my love of science with the opportunity to care for and connect with people. During my clinical rotations, I found myself drawn to hematology and oncology. Caring for patients in clinic and hospital settings, I experienced the deep human connections at the heart of medicine while working in a field where scientific discovery and treatment advances rapidly evolve. I find great meaning and fulfillment caring for and supporting patients.

Community involvement

I enjoy mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. I regularly speak with high school, college and medical students about careers in medicine and provide guidance on navigating medical education and professional development.

Personal interests

My pursuits include exploring national parks, visiting new restaurants with my husband and staying active by trying different fitness classes. I am also a novice pottery enthusiast and enjoy spending time in the studio.
