Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute is helping athletes throughout the region stay in the game. Beginning Aug. 19, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Injury Centers in Allentown and Easton will be open Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon to ensure athletes receive world-class orthopedic care as quickly as possible so they can return to the sport they love.

Sports medicine experts at Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute understand athletes and the importance of receiving quality care in a timely manner. Now, athletes who are injured Friday evening can be seen the next day by an orthopedic expert, have X-rays done and receive a treatment plan so they can begin their recovery sooner.

“Nationally ranked orthopedic care is available right here in our community,” says Thomas Graham, MD, Physician in Chief for Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. “Our team of 200 clinicians includes more than 30 who are specially trained in sports medicine. Our experts have treated more than 2,500 professional athletes and we provide that same level of care to our student-athletes. Our goal is to make sure athletes receive advanced and personalized care so they can continue to perform at the highest level possible.”

Surgeons at Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute performed more than 24,000 procedures last year, including twice as many sports medicine procedures compared to other regional health systems. Their quality and expertise earned them a coveted place among the most elite orthopedic programs in the nation as determined by U.S. News & World Report, ranking 27th in the nation and making orthopedics at Lehigh Valley Hospital the region’s only nationally ranked program.
