About

Philosophy of care

I take a proactive, team-based approach to providing quality compassionate patient care. Building on an evidence-based medicine framework, I incorporate mindfulness principles and collaborate with you to personalize care based on your families’ unique needs. It is essential for you to be heard and be an active participant in your well-being. I find ways to improve not only your lifespan, but also your health span; and thus, your quality of life. I believe in going the extra mile for my patients because it is never crowded.

Why I entered medicine

The medical field offers me the unique opportunity to combine my passion for science with my commitment to serve others. I chose family medicine because I believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I enjoy developing relationships with the family across generations, and engaging in problem-solving that requires me to adapt case-by-case. It is a privilege to be trusted with your health and well-being, to nurture an environment of mutual respect and to provide comfort and guidance during times of vulnerability. Being a physician is who I am, not merely what I do.

Community involvement

My community involvement includes mentoring medical students and volunteering with my children's school activities and sports teams.

Personal interests

My daily meditation helps center me and provides clarity. I have an insatiable appetite for reading and enjoy sharing tips and fun facts with my patients. I love to travel, play chess, watch racing events, support the performing arts and attend rock/metal concerts. I am a fitness advocate and enjoy running, boxing, yoga, Pilates and other outdoor activities.
