About

Philosophy of care

As a family nurse practitioner, I view the patient-clinician relationship as a partnership of trust, clear communication and shared decision-making. Working in the urgent care setting, where time is limited and emotions can run high, I strive to maintain a calm and reassuring presence, ensuring you feel heard, valued and informed. Behind every symptom is a person with a unique story, background and needs. Also, collaboration with the interdisciplinary health care team is essential. My practice is guided by nursing’s core principles – advocacy, integrity and accountability. I am committed to continuous learning and reflective practice to stay current with advances in medicine and improve my quality of care.

Why I entered medicine

My decision grew from a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I was drawn to the privilege of being present with patients during their vulnerable moments – listening to their fears, offering reassurance and helping them find a path toward healing. Over time, my passion extended beyond bedside care; I wanted a more active role in diagnosis, treatment and long-term health promotion. Becoming a nurse practitioner allowed me to combine the humanistic foundation of nursing with the scientific depth of medicine. The role embodies what I value most: critical thinking, patient advocacy and collaborative care across a lifespan.

Community involvement

I participate in health fairs and community events that provide free screenings, vaccinations and education on chronic disease prevention. Such opportunities allow me to connect with individuals who may have limited access to health care, empowering them with knowledge and resources to take charge of their well-being.

Personal interests

Family is my foundation and greatest source of support. Whether we are sharing a quiet evening at home or exploring a new destination together, those moments remind me of the importance of connection, gratitude and balance – values I also bring to my practice.
