About

Philosophy of care

I address the whole person in front of me – mind/body/spirit. These are inseparable. I am a safe place to share things. I hope to get to know you, your family, your pets, what motivates you to help improve your total health, not just patch over a symptom. If I don’t have an answer, I’ll work with you to find it. Some things will never have an answer, so I’ll work with you through it. And if something is not working, please let me know. I can only address what I am aware of for you.

Why I entered medicine

Being a family medicine doctor is my true passion; I can think of no better profession for myself. In my education and career I encountered political science, international development, real estate, and radiography. All were enjoyable, but none could beat that long-term patient-physician relationship.

Community involvement

I advocate for patients and the osteopathic profession. I have volunteered with the VA and Habitat for Humanity.

Personal interests

I enjoy local, state, and national parks. I enjoy cooking a variety of American, Pakistani, European, and Mediterranean foods. Reading is also a passion: usually classical literature, motivation/communication, or something by Michael Crichton (whose books sparked my interest in science/medicine).
