About

Philosophy of care

I believe in treating each patient as a whole. There is so much more to your health than just a medical diagnosis, so I incorporate all components into treatment plans.

Why I entered medicine

I entered medicine, as many do, with a desire to help people. I still have that desire, but in different ways. After initially practicing medicine in a rural area, I saw what was lacking in health care and obtained the skills needed to bridge those gaps. As a family medicine physician, I enjoy being able to grow with patients – to watch a newborn become a teenager, a young adult start and grow a family, an older adult become a grandparent and show me pictures of the grandchildren. Having personal connections with families is a remarkable privilege.

Community involvement

I am a volunteer with Postpartum Support International as a peer mentor and on their Advisory Council of Lived Experience.

Personal interests

I enjoy time with my husband, children and dogs, whether it be playing outside or watching sports. (I am a huge Philly sports fan: Go Birds!) I also enjoy cooking and baking.
