Philosophy of care

I believe in listening carefully to each patient's concerns and treating every individual with compassion, respect, and dignity. I understand that a diagnosis - particularly in hematology and oncology — can be overwhelming, and I am committed to ensuring patients and the families feel heard, supported, and informed at every step of their care journey.

Why I entered medicine

Having witnessed family members face cancer firsthand, I developed a deep personal understanding of the challenges patients and their loved ones experience. That experience inspired me to pursue hematology and oncology — so I could dedicate my career to supporting others through one of the most difficult journeys of their lives.

Community involvement

For many years, I hosted an annual celebration for my patients and their families - a festive evening complete with dinner, dancing, and gifts. It was more than a party; it was an opportunity to step outside the clinical setting and honor the strength, resilience, and spirit of everyone touched by a cancer diagnosis. The joy in the room was a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

Personal interests

Outside of medicine, I find joy and balance in music, art, and travel. I'm an avid golfer, and above all, I cherish every moment spent with my grandchildren.
